Finally, a book that fully deals with the mysterious Spirit-inspired expressions written by the prophet Zechariah. The book of Zechariah is the most messianic, apocalyptic and eschatological book of the Old Testament. Zechariah is also the most Christ-centered of all the prophets. He speaks more about Christ, His work and His glory than all the other minor prophets combined. Norbert Lieth explains how Zechariah documents Jesus’ First and Second Coming, His future rule, priesthood, kingship, humanity and divinity. 
Further, in his general prophecies, Zechariah describes the last attack of Jerusalem by the nations, the initial victory of the enemies, the division of the Mount of Olives, the defense of Jerusalem through the Lord's return, His judgment upon the nations and the changing of the earth's surface in the land of Israel. This book reveals Israel's great restoration as a nation, and how it will effect the entire world.
Finally, we learn that we must not lose our vision of the future. The day is coming when Jesus will return and the light of His kingdom will surpass everything we have ever seen: "And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you" (John 16:22).
